I am so glad that you have found your cottage and that you are finding yourself surrounded by a caring community. I have enjoyed reading your journey, as I was on a similar one with my father. Your energy and spirit never cease to amaze me, and I hope that you keep making the world a better place wherever you are. If you come back to Maine, we should catch up!
I've really enjoyed Third Age a lot. But I get your reasons for calling it quits. Thanks so much for all your posts. Wishing you and Bill a happy life in Ohio.
I so much enjoy your posts--Best of luck canvassing for Sherrod Brown! I'm a long term fan of his. And thanks a million for supporting the Beaver Co. Democrats in PA. They're dynamite!
I have never met you, but was in Bill’s NYC Africa world decades ago. But I do feel I know you through your many essays. If I lived near you we would canvas and laugh together I don’t doubt! Your transition will go well I hope.
Cathy I've enjoyed Third Age immensely - wise, thoughtful, eminently readable. I'll miss it but I'm glad you've found a new center of gravity. And thanks for sticking with us at NOPE! Laurie M
Cathy, Thank you for Third Age. It was always pleasurably to read your posts. Glad you and Bill have "settled in". Similar to our experience of moving from DC to a super RED state (South Carolina), you found a community of people who share your values and beliefs. Lucky for Ohio !! Again, thank you again for allowing me to share my family travel story that I had not given a lot of thought for many years. At least now, my kids know the story. Continue to enjoy this new journey.
Greetings from Bowen Street! I remember you fondly. Mom died last August and I moved back into her house when my landlord decided to sell the house in Fox Point where I lived for 20 years. So it’s a full circle for me, but a circle that includes many years in California and Nicaragua, so it’s a BIG circle!
Best of luck in your new communities. I know you will make them richer for your presence!
I'm so glad to hear you have a cottage now. I've enjoyed reading your posts, and hope you decide to keep it up after you get settled.

Thanks for your insights in these troubled times. I hope you find another outlet. Glad you are settled in now. DC's loss is Ohio's gain.
Thanks for writing this, Cathy. Reading your experience in making this transition has been especially helpful to me.
